BCAS FC, FC Reigning Kicker Book February Final Date

BCAS FC booked the first finals seat after defeating Brahman FC.
BCAS FC and FC Reigning Kickers, who kicked off the inaugural season of the Lipa Football League with a scintillating 5-all draw, booked a finals date with each other after convincing semi-finals wins over separate opponents on 28 January 2018 at the University of Batangas-Lipa City campus football field.

BCAS was first to the finals after a 5-4 win over Brahman FC, although the score probably flattered the latter. BCAS FC had raced to a 5-1 lead but relaxed in the second half, allowing Brahman FC a fightback that just ran out of steam.

Mark Roy Gulang led the victors with two goals, with assistance from Marc Capuloy, Gerard Gutierrez and Joseph Erl Cuchapin with a goal each. For Brahman FC, Reneel Jan Las scored a brace with further goals from Jose Eleazar Hornilla and Christian Robles.

FC Reigning Kickers set up a date with BCAS FC after disposing of ACF Real Molinillo.
In the second semi-final, FC Reigning Kickers raced to 2-nil and 3-1 leads before ACF Real Molinillo clawed back to tie the match at 3-all. Just when Real Molinillo was starting to turn the game around, defensive errors allowed FC Reigning Kicker to score the game’s final goals.

Angelo Hernandez, with a hattrick, and Torres, with a brace, were the winners’ goalscorers. For ACF Real Molinillo, the goals were scored by Hee Siop Kim, John Patrick Mercado and Nestor Natanauan Jr.

The championship game of the Lipa Football League is to be played on 25 February at the UB-Lipa football field, preceded by the play-off for third between today’s losing teams.
