Real Molinillo, Legends FC Take Early Division I and II Lead in Season 3

Real Molinillo (white) was in dominant form against Green Stallions in the opening Season 3 Division I match.
Lipa City, 30 Sept. – The Lipa Football League’s organizing club, ACF Real Molinillo de Lipa, flexed its muscles early in the season with a resounding 6-2 victory over Green Stallions FC in the opening Division I match of the LFL Season 3. Ted Regalado, who played with the Coffee Millers in Season 2, quickly opened his account with his first goal for his new club.

There were six different scorers in all for Real Molinillo’s attack, with Renz Dimaano, former Philippine national player Jeremias Jiao, Joseph Victor Medina, Ezra Lozano (penalty) and Tyron Regalado also finding the net. Arthur Penn David and Jericho Bariata scored the consolation goals for the Green Stallions, who have now lost three out of four LFL games to Real Molinillo.

In the night’s most exciting encounter, also in Division I, Mentors FC figured in an 11-goal thriller against guest team Real Baraco of Batangas City. Jarred Manangquil was in hattrick form for Real Baraco with three goals, but his heroics were not enough as the Mentors ultimately won by the odd goal.

Mark Anthony Fernandez led Mentors with a brace, with David Franz Fornea, Rogil Regalado, Kenneth Aquino, and Fristan John Sayson also finding the net. For Real Baraco, Renz Suarez and Daniel Aungon, with a goal each, were the other goalscorers.

Legends FC (black) was in equally dominant form againt FC Reigning Kickers in Division II.
In Division II, Legends FC quickly served notice of its intent with a dominant 6-1 victory over Season 1 champions FC Reigning Kickers. Krysler Bon Opeña led the legends with a brace, with further goals contributed by Reymond dela Rosa, Winzle Mariano, Allen Joven and Gerard Pena.

Jhon Lester Torres replied with the consolation goal for the Reigning Kickers.

In the other Division II match of the night, young Lipa Emmanuel FC earned as statement win over the veteran team Coffee Millers FC. Jorge Kasilag and Francis Munda scored the goals for Lipa Emmanuel, with Harold Dimaano, who represented Green Stallions in Season 2, replying late for the Coffee Millers.
