AboitizLand Football Cup-Luzon Kicks Off at the Aboitiz Pitch this Month

A press conference was held at The Outlets of Lipa to formally launch the AboitizLand Football Cup.

Lipa City, Oct. 3 – In time for its 25^th year, AboitizLand rebrands the former Aboitiz Football Cup into the AboitizLand Football Cup as it continues to expand its reach together with RS1 Group. Coming from the success of the AFC Luzon last year, this year’s tournament will again be hosted at the Aboitiz Pitch inside The Outlets at Lipa inside the LIMA Estate Batangas featuring a 7-a-side format.

“With the AboitizLand Football Cup and the Aboitiz Pitch as our venue, we hope to reinforce the Aboitiz group’s objective of supporting the country’s grassroots football development, as well as promoting continuing education for football practitioners in the region,” said Eduardo Aboitiz, Commercial Business Unit Head of AboitizLand.

“The Aboitiz Football Cup has been providing a platform to highlight the significance of sports in value formation. Beyond the honing of physical skills, participants are taught the importance of discipline, teamwork, and respect, which are tools to leverage their everyday lives outside of the football pitch,” added Aboitiz.

A 90-minute drive away from Manila, the Aboitiz Pitch at the LIMA estate in Lipa City is the largest artificial pitch in Luzon. While providing a venue for football enthusiasts, it also complements global sports brands at The Outlets at Lipa. Following global standards, it hosts national football tournaments like the Philippine Football League, the Youth Football League, and local tournaments like the Lipa Football League.

The AboitizLand Football Cup will be held Saturdays and Sundays starting October 13 until mid-December. The categories available and their playdates are:

Mixed Open	9 November (Saturday)
Boys Under-19	16 November (Saturday)
Boys Under-13	23 November (Saturday)
Boys Under-23	30 November (Saturday)

Mixed Under-11	9 December (Sunday
