Brahman FC, FC Reigning Kickers Pick Up 1st LFL Wins

Action from the Brahman FC versus Kings FC Lipa Football League Round 2 encounter.
Brahman FC, who drew a bye for the opening round of matches, and FC Reigning Kickers, who figured in a 10-goal draw with BCAS FC, both notched their first wins in the second round of Lipa Football League matches played on 24 September 2017 at the University of Batangas-Lipa City campus football field.

Brahman FC, playing on their own field, handed Kings FC their second straight loss in the league following a 7-6 victory. John Paolo Permentilla scored a hattrick to lead Brahman FC, with Reneel Jan Las, Julius Lopez and David Algaba scoring a goal each.

Kings FC’s playing coach Mickey Macasaet had the unfortunate distinction of scoring at both ends. For the losing side, Omar Mazloum continued his fine scoring form by scoring 4 goals for the second straight game. Mazloum is the league’s top goalscorer with 8 goals in just two matches.

Meanwhile, FC Reigning Kickers rallied from behind to defeat ACF Real Molinillo, 5-3, in the second Round 2 match. Luis Canlas had opened the scoring for Real Molinillo with a well-taken volley; but FC Reigning Kickers fought back with goals from Michael Angelo Hernandez (3), Jhon Lester Torres and Velasco.

Fil-Iranian Eric Sedighpour scored Real Molinillo’s other goals. FC Reigning Kickers took over the top of the table while Real Molinillo slipped into second, ahead of Brahman FC on goal difference.
