ACF Real Molinillo, Brahman FC Complete LFL Semi-Finals

Players of ACF Real Molinillo take the field for the match against Brahman FC.
With FC Reigning Kickers and BCAS FC already shoo-ins into the semi-finals of the fledgling Lipa Football League, the intrigue going into the last round of group elimination matches was who would accompany them into the knockout stages.

BCAS FC emphatically shut the door on Kings FC, winning 10-2 to ensure that the latter finished the group stage winless and, therefore, eliminated. Renner Masongsong led BCAS FC with three goals. He had good support from Marc Capuloy, Roy Gulang and Joseph Erl Cuchapin, all of whom had a brace. Gerard Gutierrez completed the scoring for the team.

For Kings FC, the Mazloum brothers Faisal and Omar replied with a goal each; but these goals were always going to be mere consolation. For his hattrick, Masongsong was chosen Man of the Match.

Kings FC’s earlier loss meant that both Real Molinillo and Brahman FC had already qualified even before kickoff. The former was determined to put on a show, however, hitting its best form of the tournament to bury the latter with an emphatic 9-nil scoreline.

Simon Javate led the Coffee Millers with 4 goals, followed by Korean Hee Siop Kim with a brace. Paolo Medina and Ezekiel Terrones each contributed with one goal.

Because of its superior goal difference, BCAS FC finished the elimination round of the Lipa Football League top of the table to set up a semi-final clash in January 2018 with Brahman FC.

FC Reigning Kickers, who topped the table before today’s round of matches, would square up in the semi-finals against ACF Real Molinillo.
